Activewear in Modemuseum Hasselt
From athletes to curators
OLIVIA BORLÉE & ELODIE OUEDRAOGO, CURATORS OF HASSELT’S MODE MUSEUM ACTIVEWEAR EXHIBITION

The exhibition stretches from the nineteenth century, the period in which sports and leisure activities became increasingly important, to the present day.
"Today, sportswear and fashion are inextricably linked. More and more fashion houses are working together with well-known athletes, while sports brands on the other hand are calling on well-known fashion designers" according to the message of the Fashion Museum Hasselt. The exhibition shows the socio-cultural changes that have made sport and fashion increasingly intertwined.
Elodie Ouédraogo and Olivia Borlée, two former top athletes and founders of fashion label UNRUN, act as curators of the exhibition. Their love for Belgian fashion, their commitment to sustainability and, of course, their past as top athletes are extra assets for the collaboration.
We joined forces with Delvaux in celebration of the Momu Antwerp reopening

In honour of Belgian creativity and innovation, four Belgian design teams, Christian Wijnants , Meryll Rogge, Bernadette Antwerp and UNRUN customised eight exclusive pochettes each.
Being asked to be part of such a beautiful project is an honor.
Delvaux has an incredibly rich history, being one of the oldest luxury houses in the world. We experimented with spray paint to create a bib number, blended with lines representing the work of the late Panamarenkos 'Aeromodeller'.
Panamarenko is an artist known for his research on aerodynamics. A very strong message given that the performance of the athlete will always be subject to his or her aerodynamic position.
